When i found this out, I nearly peed my pants (I didn't though, because I've had enough pee on me this week). <br /><br />I finally am writing more music and poetry now that my schedule's died down, internet. I know you've been eagerly awaiting when I'm able to share more poetry, cause there's not enough poetry on the internet. <br /><br />Now a deep thought by Jack Handey:<br />At first I thought, if I were Superman, a perfect secret identity would be "Clark Kent, Dentist," because you could save money on tooth X-rays. But then I thought, if a patient said, "How's my back tooth?" and you just looked at it with your X-ray vision and said, "Oh it's okay," then the patient would probably say, "Aren't you going to take an X-ray, stupid?" and you'd say, "Aw fuck you, get outta here," and then he probably wouldn't even pay his bill.Susnastyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04588493195231466988noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6528775610061501359.post-30096247126385364642010-06-09T18:37:00.003-04:002010-06-09T18:41:46.651-04:00Hey there and DAIYA<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.happycow.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/daiya-cheese.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 385px; height: 265px;" src="http://www.happycow.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/daiya-cheese.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />Hey guys. This is another post of mine promising to post more (for the one of you that occasionally glance at this blog). <br />Daiya Vegan Cheese. This shit is incredible. It stretches, it melts, it shreds and IT TASTES LIKE CHEESE. They're got cheddar and mozzarella flavors. I can't even tell you how good it is. Its creamy (without soy!). I put it on some pasta last night and it melted quickly and stretched and was gooey and it was glorious.<br />This shit isn't cheap, but holy captain crunch, it's amazing. (PS, that picture is in no way lying. It's legit THAT cheesy)<br /><br />Also...two days til I graduate high school. I can seriously spend HOURS in a bookstore and not even buy anything. So anyways, they're trying to get rid of the rest of the books, so you can fill a giant bag with all the used books you desire for ONLY THREE DOLLARS.<br />Needless to say, I peed my pants in excitement.<br />I got a lot of books, one of which is a book entailing how to use tofu. There were very few cookbooks, but I think a comprehensive guide on tofu would be a handy thing and i got it for basically free. I'll try some of the techniques and recipes soon.<br /><br />(how cute is that picture, by the way?)Susnastyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04588493195231466988noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6528775610061501359.post-43395886389241631232010-02-22T08:49:00.003-05:002010-02-22T12:24:43.355-05:00Good Morning StarshineHey there all of you who read this (meaning no one). I'm gonna start making cookies and cupcakes from my cookbooks soon.<br /><br />I kind of wish that wherever I go to college has a kitchenette that I can use. As nice as it will be to have pre-made vegan food in a cafeteria wherever I go, i suspect it will mostly be the same thing every day. And probably very few baked goods. So i hope there's a kitchen so I can at least cook a little bit.<br /><br /><br />Also... HAIR!<br />Jesus oh lordie HAIR. It is freaking incredible. <br /><br /><br />ALSO! If anyone personally knows Ellen Degeneres....let me know, please.... <br />Cause odds are, with the whomping 0 people who read my blog.... So I've been a busy bee, and I've found that instant miso soup is a godsend. The problem is finding some. A lot of them have shaved bonito (fish) in them, which is of course UNvegan. I love Sushi Chef instand miso soup. The white miso is NOT vegan or even vegetarian, but the red miso IS! good thing, too because I like red miso better. Anyways, when I'm a bit peckish, its super easy to carry around and have when Im in a rush--just add hot water and BAM! <div>Okay, I'm done. </div><div>kbye</div>Susnastyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04588493195231466988noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6528775610061501359.post-50550046308097245982009-10-08T19:07:00.002-04:002009-10-08T19:12:06.615-04:00I'm a posting FIEND<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ayiwFBjWUxw/Ss5xvdJdYLI/AAAAAAAAACA/hrydhcMY_Xc/s1600-h/Snapshot_20091008.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ayiwFBjWUxw/Ss5xvdJdYLI/AAAAAAAAACA/hrydhcMY_Xc/s320/Snapshot_20091008.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390370864101154994" /></a><br />So i found these incredible thingies. Getting all of the musical theatre referenced in that show makes me feel superior. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>"Sin from my lips? I just heard about this thing called Vegan Mofo, which is where vegan bloggers all over blog a shitload of vegan stuff during october. It stands for Vegan Month of Food, but I like to think of it as Vegan MotherFucker. Anyways, hopefully this can get me blogging again, as well as get my blog a little more out there, with people reading. Yay vegans!<div><br /></div><div>I may have to redesign this page, it's pretty fuckin boring right now. </div>Susnastyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04588493195231466988noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6528775610061501359.post-60614450066523681982009-09-06T14:18:00.002-04:002009-09-06T14:23:31.706-04:00Sorry!To anyone who actually reads this, sorry I haven't been posting lately. I found some blueberries so the obvious choice is to bake shit with them!<div>Yesterday I made blueberry pancakes, and today blueberry muffins, using <a href="http://vegetarian.about.com/od/breakfastrecipe1/r/blumuffins.htm">this</a> recipe as a basis. In the comments it said to use self rising flour, which I don't have, so I used a bit of yeast, to some avail. Also, I don't have margerine so I used about a quarter cup of canola oild and a quarter cup more of non dairy milk (almond milk for me).</div><div><br /></div><div>I added some sugar in the raw on top, and cooked them intil golden brown, which may have been a bit too long because the outside is a big harder than I would have liked. But the inside is nice and moist and it tastes pretty damn good.</div><div>The picture is decieving, they're actually a lot taller AND puffier than they appear.</div>Susnastyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04588493195231466988noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6528775610061501359.post-22159875162685521532009-08-22T14:50:00.002-04:002009-08-22T14:55:39.812-04:00Rosemary Focaccia<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ayiwFBjWUxw/SpA_FLxqA0I/AAAAAAAAABo/5uZPNMjxBTU/s1600-h/Snapshot_20090822_1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ayiwFBjWUxw/SpA_FLxqA0I/AAAAAAAAABo/5uZPNMjxBTU/s320/Snapshot_20090822_1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5372863713745961794" /></a><br />I wanted to make bread, but I don't have any yeast, so i found <a href="http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Exquisite-Yeastless-Focaccia/Detail.aspx">this</a> yeastless recipe for focaccia.<div>I followed it prettgy exactly, but i also stirred in about a quarter cup dried rosemary to the dough, and used nutritional yeast instead of cheese.</div><div>I also didn't have a deep enough baking pan, so i just rolled it out into a rough ractangle shape, about 1 1/2 inch thick.</div><div>verdict: EXCELLENT. Very rosemary-ey in a good way. Not too dry, not too doughey. its perfect and seasoned well.YUM</div>Susnastyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04588493195231466988noreply@blogger.com0
